I am old enough to remember Marshall Mcluhan but not old enough never to have heard of and covet the latest IPhone. A nearly lifelong love of improvisation has travelled with me through times as a clerk in a Brokerage House, fork lift truck driver, university student (more than twice), jazz double bass musician, Anglican parish priest, hospital chaplain, spiritual director, and retired Archdeacon currently working in his third interim.
My musical skills are still evolving having been helped over the years by surrounding myself with greatness.
My Beloved life partner Susan Hancock and I have been blessed with two daughters and three grandchildren.
Jazz is for me a lived metaphor for God’s abundance being revealed in the world. The jazz ensemble is a model, when it works, for collaboration, inspiration, and the Spirit living, moving, and having its Being.
