Welcome to Trafalgar Castle School, home to the Summer Institute of Church Music from its founding in 1970, and for most of the four decades that have passed. This elegant residential facility in Whitby, Ontario lies just 30 minutes east of downtown Toronto. Dedicated to education since when it opened as the Ontario Ladies’ College in 1874, since 1970 it has been a widely-respected independant school for guirls from fall to spring, and a destination for Canadian church musicians seeking an annual retreat-style oasis of learning, friendship and inspiration.

In this unique setting, the finest performers, conductors, teachers and thinkers the church musical world of North America has to offer have gathered for decades with organists, pianists, choir and worship leaders, handbell players, and choristers from all denominations and at all ability levels to celebrate and grow together in their craft.
